Curt is a really nice guy and a decent landlord. As others have mentioned, he can be a bit flaky at times but I never found it to be a huge problem- I think he is just quite busy managing all his properties. If we ever needed anything done urgently (i.e. leaking water pipes) he would come through. He even hired a cleaning service to do a deep clean of our apartment when the previous tenants had not done so. His properties are considerably cheaper than others in the area, and overall, my roommates and I had a positive experience renting from him.

My roommate and I have been renting from Curt for almost year now, and he has been nothing but helpful, responsive, and fair. He allowed a friend to sublet for my roommate while she was traveling abroad, which was extremely helpful for everyone involved. He had the entire apartment repainted, redid the staircase, and even added a lock to the main door after requests to safeguard the building. Whenever we needed any sort of maintenance he would connect us with someone within a day. My roommate and I felt that we wouldn't find a better deal (price, location, quality), so we decided to extend the lease through the summer. He is an overall friendly guy who I highly recommend if you're looking for a place in the Burlington area.

Curt has helped me with renting my properties in the past three years. He advised me as to what I needed to do to get the property prepared for the new tenants, assisted me with determining the appropriate rent and helped me with a detailed lease. He was always available for any questions that I had leading up to the rental and most important he found amazing tenants for my properties. I still can call him when I have any questions about the ins and outs of rentals. I find Curt to be very professional, always available when needed and so pleasant to work with. I would strongly recommend him as a property manager.

Curt is a great landlord and a great person. I rented a property from him for a year, never had any issues. He had a great repair guy Norman, who always helped me out with a repair or property issue right away. Curt is understanding with his tenants and prompt to return calls. My experience with him was positive.

Curt Wheeler is a great landlord. Firstly, he keeps the prices of his properties fair. This happens so rarely in Burlington. And, they are lovely apartments; he could price the rent higher and people would pay it! He has always returned my phone calls promptly, and has sent someone to fix problems that occur in my living space, immediately. I have chatted to most in my building, and I have found that all his tenants are really wonderful. His apartments foster a really peaceful and respectful atmosphere because he cares about who he rents to. Everyone in my building has been here for a while, and usually have no plans to move--unless they move away from the area. This is because finding a great landlord, a great apartment, at a very responsible price--that is central--is so hard to find. I even decided to (amicably) negotiate out of another lease just to be able to rent one of his apartments, and I never regretted my decision.

I am also in shock that anyone would say anything negative about Curt Wheeler, whom I have know for over four years now. When I flew to Vermont for the first time to rent an apartment from him sight unseen, he actually picked me up at the airport to save me the taxi fair and took me on a tour of the beautiful waterfront before driving me to my new apartment. This relieved my Dad greatly, who was driving the U-Haul truck across country and was not able to arrive in time to pick me up. Curt saved the day! THEN Curt helped me get my business started in Vermont by inviting me to become a part of a business networking group in downtown Burlington which has literally brought me almost all of my local clients. In this group, I hear Curt talk about his own business weekly and am always impressed by how much he cares about the property owners he works for and the tenants he rents to. So I would have to totally disagree with anything anybody might say about Curt Wheeler in terms of his business, which in my opinion is run FIRST CLASS. Thank you Curt for all you have done for me when I moved here; I would and have recommended your services to many others since my arrival and will continue to do so. And if I ever need to find good quality renters for a property I purchase, you would be my first pick.

I have just read some of these reviews and cannot believe what I am reading. I rented from Wheeler Property Management for 3 years now and have always found Curt Wheeler to be totally responsive and one of the best landlords I've ever had. He truly wants to keep his tenants happy, at least that's been my experience and everyone else in the building that I know of. There's never been a problem. I have a feeling these people (or person) who has written these negative reviews have just made this stuff up, because it doesn't make any sense. They were probably rotten tenants; that would explain a lot.
